Recap: McLean vs. Georgetown Day Mighty Hoppers

McLean's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their eighth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Georgetown Day, falling 86-42. McLean was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 52-22.

Despite the loss, McLean still got an impressive performance from Eros Marchello, who scored 25 points along with four steals. Marchello scored a full 59.5% of McLean's points, the ninth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of William Marks, who scored four points along with nine rebounds.

McLean bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Georgetown Day, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

McLean will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against The Heights at 5:00 p.m. on December 19th. The Heights knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully McLean likes a good challenge. Georgetown Day will be home for the holidays to greet St. Albans at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
