Softball Recap: Elmwood/Plum City Comes Up Short

Elmwood/Plum City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against the Colfax Vikings, falling 15-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Vikings this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 21-4 back in April.

Elmwood/Plum City's loss dropped their record down to 5-15. As for Colfax, they pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Elmwood/Plum City will face off against Eau Claire Immanuel Lutheran at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Wolves' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lancers have averaged an impressive 6.6 runs per game this season. As for Colfax, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Glenwood City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
