Softball Recap: Hume Takes a Loss

Hume lost against Butler back in April of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Hornets took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bears. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Hornets couldn't push the score so high this time.

Hume saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenzee Snider, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Snider is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.

This is the second loss in a row for Hume and nudges their season record down to 8-3. As for Butler, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 13-9.

Looking ahead, Hume will head out to challenge Northeast Vernon County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Butler, they will host Osceola at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
