It was a good run, but Faith Academy unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-match winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Central Texas Christian Lions. The shutout was out of character for the Flames seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in September.

Faith Academy was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 25-18, 25-13.

Kerrington Silvers paced Faith Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. Silvers got some help from Olivia Kraenzel and her 12 assists.

Central Texas Christian had a senior duo take command as Meredith Turner had eight digs and three aces and Brianna Beltran had three digs and two aces.

Faith Academy's loss dropped their record down to 26-7. As for Central Texas Christian, the victory (which was their 17th in a row) raised their record to 37-3-1.

Faith Academy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against San Marcos Academy on the 23rd. As for Central Texas Christian, they have also already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Live Oak Classical on the 23rd.
