Football Recap: Desert Vista Thunder vs. Valley Vista Monsoon
Desert Vista had lost six straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-2 to make it seven. They took a 36-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Valley Vista Monsoon. The Thunder were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Monsoon apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Desert Vista's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kyler Drunasky, who rushed for 133 yards and one score while picking up 7.8 yards per carry. Drunasky is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 107 every time he's taken the field this season. Kael Moore was in the mix too, providing Desert Vista with two TDs.
