The Citrus Valley Blackhawks will square off against the Redlands East Valley Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Citrus Valley will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Citrus Valley's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Tuesday, when they got past Cajon's usually-dominant pitching crew. The Blackhawks came out on top against the Cowboys by a score of 10-6.
Citrus Valley got a great performance from Nolan Tornberg as he pitched five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Tornberg also tossed no walks, which is notable because the Blackhawks are undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 4-7 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Robert Seeley, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one double. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Adrian Abarca was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.
Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Redlands East Valley faced off against Beaumont on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 6-5.
Caleb Jamroz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out seven batters over 5.1 innings while giving up four earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Aiden Mccartin made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Alan Gibbons, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI.
Redlands East Valley now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Citrus Valley, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Redlands East Valley's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Citrus Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for Redlands East Valley, though, as they've only averaged .235. Will they be able to contain Citrus Valley's hitters?
Citrus Valley came out on top in a nail-biter against Redlands East Valley in their previous matchup back in April of 2024, sneaking past 12-11. Will the Blackhawks repeat their success, or do the Wildcats have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
