On Tuesday, Cheyenne Mountain faced Discovery Canyon in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Discovery Canyon Thunder, sneaking past 3-2. The Red-Tailed Hawks' win was nothing new given the team hasn't lost yet this season.

Cheyenne Mountain wouldn't go down easily and took Discovery Canyon into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-13, 25-19, 13-25, 17-15.

Cheyenne Mountain's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-0. As for Discovery Canyon, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.
