Basketball Game Preview: Ashland Clockers vs. Westwood Wolverines

Ashland is 1-9 against Westwood since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Ashland Clockers will square off against the Westwood Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Ashland will head into Tuesday's matchup after some sweet revenge against Bellingham: Ashland made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Bellingham, but still couldn't quite topple them. Ashland took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 58-25 victory over Bellingham. The win was some much needed relief for the Clockers as it spelled an end to their nine-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Westwood entered their tilt with Norton on Tuesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 46-40 victory over the Lancers.

Ashland's win bumped their record up to 2-13. As for Westwood, they are also on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season.

Ashland suffered a grim 72-50 defeat to Westwood in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Ashland avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
