Softball Recap: Whitewater's Loss Ends Three-Game Winning Streak at Home

After flying high against Lake Country Lutheran on Monday, Whitewater came back down to earth. The Whippets wound up with the same score they had in their last game (11-1), but sadly the team found themselves on the wrong side of the score this time. The match marked their lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Whitewater saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sydney Schilt, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI.

Whitewater's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-6. As for Lake Mills, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-10.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitewater will head out to take on Clinton at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lake Mills, they will face off against Columbus at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
