Softball Recap: Philo Comes Up Short

Philo lost to West Holmes two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Electrics lost 11-3 to the Knights.

Philo saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Laiken Cox, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Philo has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. As for West Holmes, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Coming up, Philo will head out on the road to challenge Morgan at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for West Holmes, they will welcome Danville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
