Basketball Recap: Cornell's Losing Streak Snapped at Eight Games

Cornell had to endure an eight-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Thorp Cardinals 44-42. That's more bragging rights for the Chiefs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cornell's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Thorp, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-8.
