Moriarty extended the longest winning streak in 4A District 5 this week by beating Del Norte, 50-3. The victory was the fourth in a row for the Fighting Pintos.
Moriarty took down the Knights 50-3 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Del Norte's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyrelle Jackson has thrown for 17 yards this season, while Isaiah Hoge has one catch for 13 yards. Daryl Wiggins leads the league in rushing with 103 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Bob Allcorn's team and St. Pius X. The Fighting Pintos enters the contest ranked 25th in the state, while the Sartans ranks 24th.
Moriarty made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 5,232 from 5,667. The improvement was the result of 50-3 victory over Del Norte last week.
