Recap: Redbank Valley Bulldogs vs. Cambridge Springs Devils
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Redbank Valley Bulldogs walked away with it. They blew past the Devils, posting a 44-0 victory on the road. The result was nothing new for Redbank Valley, who have now won 11 matches by 23 points or more so far this season.
Redbank Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Drew Byers led the charge by rushing for 84 yards and a touchdown, while also catching a touchdown. Mason Clouse also helped out with an impressive 107 receiving yards.
Redbank Valley's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 49.0 points per game. As for Cambridge Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-2.
Redbank Valley will head out on the road to face off against Fort Cherry at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Cherry is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling. Cambridge Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
