Baseball Recap: St. Francis Has No Trouble Against North Branch

St. Francis got themselves on the board against North Branch on Friday, but North Branch never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Vikings. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Fighting Saints also won the last time the pair played back in May of 2024.

Tanner Rothbauer made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. Rothbauer was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, St. Francis got a big performance out of Cooper Fiskewold, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave Fiskewold a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tayler Hardie, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

St. Francis was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as North Branch only posted a batting average of .176.

St. Francis' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for North Branch, their loss was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-3.
