Baseball Recap: Winslow Township Comes Up Short

Winslow Township's last matchup with Atlantic City could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Wednesday. The Eagles lost 13-3 to the Vikings. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured five losses in a row.

Aiden Rivera was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and one run. Samir Jordan also deserves some recognition as he got his first hits of the season.

Winslow Township's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8. As for Atlantic City, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Winslow Township will head out to square off against Moorestown at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Atlantic City, they will venture away from home to face off against Oakcrest at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
