Laurence Manning Academy came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Wilson Hall Barons by a score of 7-3. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 5-2 back in March.

Laurence Manning Academy pushed their record up to 18-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Wilson Hall, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurence Manning Academy will take on Hammond at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Swampcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Skyhawks have averaged an impressive 6.3 runs per game this season.
