Basketball Recap: May River Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask May River). They blew past the Hilton Head Christian Academy Eagles 73-53 on Monday. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-18.

Ethan Foster and Jake Wood certainly did their best on Monday to avoid the loss. Foster went 5 for 11 on his way to 17 points and six rebounds, while Wood posted 13 points and five rebounds.

The win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

May River will take on Military Magnet Academy in a tournament on Thursday. As for Hilton Head Christian Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-39 loss against Coastal HomeSchool on the 17th.
