Baseball Recap: El Dorado Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Americas, El Dorado was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bel Air Highlanders 5-4. The Aztecs haven't had any issues with the Highlanders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Christian Diaz, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. El Dorado is undefeated when Diaz posts two or more runs, but 4-14 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Gael Dominguez, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three RBI.

El Dorado's win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 7-14. As for Bel Air, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11-1 record this season.

El Dorado will have a chance to go back-to-back against Bel Air: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
