Softball Game Preview: East Bernard Brahmas vs. Blooming Grove Lions

The East Bernard Brahmas will face off against the Blooming Grove Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (East Bernard 2.6, Blooming Grove 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

East Bernard is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They never let Kirbyville get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory.

The result came thanks to Rylie Holder's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 20 consecutive appearances.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Blooming Grove took on Thrall on Saturday. The Lions sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Tigers.

East Bernard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-8 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Blooming Grove, their win bumped their record up to 28-5.
