Softball Recap: Tidehaven Takes a Loss

Tidehaven entered their game against Edna on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. Tidehaven fell just short of Edna by a score of 2-1. The Tigers' loss continues a trend for the squad, making it three in a row.

Tidehaven saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Payge Mayo, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases.

Tidehaven suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 14-11. As for Edna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-12-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Tidehaven is set to face off against their familiar foe Industrial at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Edna will square off against rival Hallettsville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
