Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Belle Plaine). They breezed past the Independent Panthers to the tune of 65-38 on Monday. This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 67-42 loss the last time these two teams met.

Belle Plaine was led to victory by Tristan Wasser and Ryder Slack. Wasser went 7-for-14 en route to 19 points, while Slack posted ten points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave Slack a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Whitley, who put up eight points.

Belle Plaine's victory bumped their record up to 4-14. As for Independent, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14-1.

Coming up, Belle Plaine will venture away from home to take on Kingman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Independent, they will take on Trinity Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
