Baseball Game Preview: Wahama White Falcons vs. Webster County Highlanders

The Wahama White Falcons will venture away from home to square off against the Webster County Highlanders at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Wahama took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over Meigs. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the White Falcons considering their one-run performance the match before.

Meanwhile, Webster County hadn't done well against Calhoun recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Highlanders had just enough and edged out the Red Devils 9-8. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

Kalob Amos was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Issac Snyder was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.

Wahama pushed their record up to 8-9 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Webster County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
