Softball Game Preview: Laurel Highlands Mustangs vs. Belle Vernon Leopards

Laurel Highlands is 1-9 against Belle Vernon since March of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Mustangs will face off against the Leopards at 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Laurel Highlands' offense. They came up short against Elizabeth Forward on Wednesday, falling 15-0. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Belle Vernon came out on top against Oakland Catholic on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive five-run fourth inning. The Leopards were the clear victors by a 9-3 margin over Oakland Catholic.

Laurel Highlands' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Belle Vernon, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
