It was a good run, but Hawthorne unfortunately witnessed the end of their 20-game winning streak dating back to last season on Wednesday. They took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bradford Tornadoes. The Hornets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tornadoes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.

Hawthorne's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-1. As for Bradford, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
