Baseball Recap: Ripon Takes a Loss

While it was Ripon who put the first runs on the board on Wednesday, it was Escalon who put up more. The Indians lost 8-1 to the Cougars. The Indians were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Logan Spear made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Ripon and nudges their season record down to 8-11. As for Escalon, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-9 record.

Looking ahead, Ripon will venture away from home to challenge Edison at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Escalon, they will host Orestimba at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
