Softball Recap: De Leon Takes a Loss

De Leon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 26-6 to the Santo Wildcats. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Eden Jobe was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple and one run. That triple marked the first that she has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Teagan Gary, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

De Leon's loss dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Santo, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-5-2.

Looking ahead, De Leon will face off against Lipan at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bearcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Santo, they are taking a road trip to challenge Ranger at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
