The Cross Plains Buffaloes will take on the Bangs Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Coleman hit Cross Plains with a five-run third inning on Friday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Buffaloes lost 11-2 to the Bluecats. The Buffaloes have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kenzie McLean put in work while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 16 batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than 11 strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
McLean wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Alivia Allison, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base. That stolen base was Allison's first of the season.
Bangs couldn't beat Eula on Tuesday even though they stacked seven runs on them in the fourth inning. The Dragons came up short against the Pirates, falling 24-10.
Bangs got a massive performance out of Justice Baker, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Stormy Stringer was another key player, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.
Bangs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Cross Plains, their loss dropped their record down to 6-4-1.
Bangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them on Thursday. Cross Plains has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 11.7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Bangs, though, as they've been averaging only 4 strikeouts. Will Cross Plains keep running through batters, or will the Dragons buck the trend?
Cross Plains beat Bangs 11-8 when the teams last played on March 9th. Do the Buffaloes have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Dragons turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
