Football Recap: Gateway Charter's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Six

It's playoff time, and Gateway Charter had no trouble coming through when it counted. They had just enough and edged out the Pine Knights 2-0. Those two points were actually the fewest the Griffins have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

The win (which was Gateway Charter's sixth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. As for Pine, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Gateway Charter will square off against Oxbridge Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Griffins 7.6, the ThunderWolves 4.7) so any points scored will be well earned. Pine does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
