Volleyball Recap: Excel Christian Continues Home Dominance on Friday

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Excel Christian and Virginia City, and Excel Christian kept the tradition alive. The Warriors were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Muckers on Friday. The Warriors were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Muckers, so the Warriors were just returning the favor.

While Excel Christian might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Virginia City scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-23, 25-19.

Excel Christian's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-3. As for Virginia City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Looking ahead, Excel Christian will welcome Mineral County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors are facing the Serpents at the right time seeing as the Serpents are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Virginia City, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Sage Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on October 1.
