Basketball Game Preview: Coopersville Broncos vs. Whitehall Vikings

The Coopersville Broncos will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Whitehall Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Coopersville came up short against Grandville and fell 53-43. The matchup marked the Broncos' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Whitehall beat Forest Hills Central 71-66 on Monday.

Whitehall's win came from a few key players Coopersville will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Camden Thompson, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 boards. He is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last 30 games he's played dating back to last season. Kal Koehler was another key player, going 9 of 18 on his way to 23 points.

Whitehall was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Whitehall's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for Coopersville, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
