Volleyball Recap: Dawson-Bryant Comes Up Short

Dawson-Bryant extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Wednesday, dropping them down to 0-10. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the St. Joseph Central Irish. While the Hornets didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Irish 25-14 in the first set.

As for St. Joseph Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since October 30, 2024.

Leading St. Joseph Central to victory were Addison Stubblefield and Brooklyn Anderson. Stubblefield had ten digs and two aces, while Anderson had 16 digs and one assist. Those 16 digs gave Anderson a new career-high.

After both having extra time off, Dawson-Bryant and Ironton will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. Joseph Central, they are taking a road trip to square off against Tug Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something the Irish surely won't give up without a fight.
