 Leyden came tearing into  Monday's  matchup with three straight wins  (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.3 goals) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with  a   4-2  victory over the Addison Trail Blazers. For Leyden, this counts as revenge for the   4-3 defeat Addison Trail walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in April of 2023.
 Leyden hit Addison Trail with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from 
 Tereza Cerna, 
 Julissa Suarez, 
 Ximena Magana,  and 
 Lizeth Montiel.
 Leyden pushed their record up to 7-2 with that  win, which was their fourth straight  at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  scored 18  goals over those four  games. Proviso East's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
