Softball Recap: Village Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Village Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Northwood Temple Academy Eagles, falling 23-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in March.

Village Christian Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Hurley, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Village Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Northwood Temple Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Village Christian Academy and Northwood Temple Academy will both be playing Fayetteville Christian the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Warriors at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Eagles will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
