Basketball Recap: Watertown Comes Up Short

Watertown was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They had to suffer through a 61-32 loss at the hands of the Gordonsville Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Purple Tigers of the 58-40 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in November of 2023.

Watertown's defeat dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Gordonsville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 15-7-1.

Looking ahead, Watertown will take on Monterey at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Gordonsville, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 69-54 loss against Jackson County on the 4th.
