Softball Recap: Dover Triumphs

Five must be Dover's lucky number: they beat Nashua South with that score not once but twice on Thursday. The Green Wave didn't even let the Purple Panthers on the board, marking the Green Wave's second-straight 5-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Green Wave in their matchups with the Purple Panthers: they've now won four in a row.

Not much got past Kaitlyn Jolicoeur, who gave up just two hits and racked up ten Ks to keep Nashua South off the board. Jolicoeur has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Brooke Jolicoeur, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Small, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI and one double.

Dover now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Nashua South, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
