Softball Recap: Nipomo Comes Up Short

Nipomo lost against Paso Robles back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Nipomo Titans fell just short of the Paso Robles Bearcats by a score of 6-5.

Sophie Quaresma and Alyssa Van Muysen stepped up to the plate in a big way. Quaresma scored two runs while going 2-for-4, while Van Muysen scored a run while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs Quaresma has posted since back in April of 2024. Roxanne McLean also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Nipomo's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Paso Robles, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-3.

Nipomo didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 win against Morro Bay on the 20th. As for Paso Robles, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 7-7 tie against Eastside on the 15th.
