Softball Recap: Midway Takes Down East Duplin in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Midway walked away with it. They never let the East Duplin Panthers get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Friday. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Midway's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Christopher, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Midway's win bumped their record up to 18-2. As for East Duplin, with the loss, they broke their five-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-8.

Coming up, Midway will challenge Seaforth on Tuesday. The Hawks will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Raiders surely won't give up without a fight. East Duplin does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
