Softball Recap: East Burke Comes Up Short

East Burke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They took a 6-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Draughn Wildcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-14 back in March.

Amanda McLean was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

East Burke's defeat dropped their record down to 4-20. As for Draughn, they moved to 12-7 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

East Burke does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Draughn, they will head out on the road to face off against Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
