Football Game Preview: Tri-Valley Titans vs. Salmon River Savages

The Tri-Valley Titans will take on the Salmon River Savages at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.

Tri-Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Idaho's top teams: Garden Valley, who was ranked 15th at the time (Tri-Valley was ranked fifth). The Titans simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Wolverines 64-20. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Titans just coasted through the last quarter.

Tri-Valley didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Wyatt Moura, Jace Waggoner, and Ridge Loveland picked up one apiece. Waggoner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 128 rushing yards.

Meanwhile, Salmon River got the win against Notus on Friday by a conclusive 38-15. The Savages might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 23 points or more this season.

Salmon River's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Tri-Valley, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 4-1.

Everything came up roses for Tri-Valley against Salmon River in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 46-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
