Basketball Game Preview: Fleming Wildcats vs. Caliche Buffaloes + How To Watch

Fleming is 9-1 against Caliche since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Wildcats will be home for the holidays to greet the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

It was a proper cat-fight when Fleming took on McClave on Saturday. The Wildcats walked away with a 53-40 victory over the Cardinals. The score was all tied up 25-25 at the break, but the Wildcats were the better team in the second half.

Fleming got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ciana Lousberg out in front who went 7-for-13 on her way to 18 points and seven boards. That's the most points Lousberg has posted since back in February. Another player making a difference was Brooke Schaefer, who had 13 points.

Fleming smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 13 offensive boards in six consecutive games dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, Caliche strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They claimed a resounding 87-5 victory over Creek Valley. With the Buffaloes ahead 57-2 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.

Caliche's win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Fleming, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Fleming strolled past Caliche in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a score of 54-38. Will the Wildcats repeat their success, or do the Buffaloes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
