Muir and Crescenta Valley are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Mustangs will venture away from home to face off against the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Crescenta Valley will be up against a hot Muir squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. The Mustangs really took it to Burbank for the full four quarters, racking up a 58-28 win. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-14.

Trey Gamble continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 305 yards and four TDs while completing 72.7% of his passes. Alijah Parker was in the mix as well, providing Muir with two touchdowns.

Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Muir proved: they limited Burbank to a paltry 2.7 yards per carry. The team can thank Andrew (Dre) Arnold for the heroic effort on defense: he. Muir didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 7.1.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Crescenta Valley). They were the clear victors by a 49-26 margin over Hoover on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Falcons in their matchups with the Tornados: they've now won seven in a row.

Muir's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Crescenta Valley, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Muir against Crescenta Valley in their previous matchup back in September of 2024, as the team secured a 53-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Mustangs since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
