Big Rapids proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 24) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Kent City Eagles 61-59. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Big Rapids' win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.0 points over those games. As for Kent City, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-10.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Cardinals face off against the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grant will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Big Rapids surely won't give up without a fight. As for Kent City, they will challenge Morley Stanwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
