Soccer Recap: West Point Comes Up Short

Despite a strong season so far, West Point has seen their luck take a bit of a downturn recently. They fell 3-1 to the Mathews Blue Devils on Monday.

West Point's goal came courtesy of Tyler Ebersole, who's now up to nine this season.

West Point's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1-2 and their overall record down to 8-4-2. As for Mathews, they pushed their record up to 10-2-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

West Point has already played their next matchup, a 7-2 victory against Carver College and Career Academy on the 13th. As for Mathews, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next match, a 5-0 win against King & Queen Central on the 13th.
