Soccer Recap: Yorkville Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Yorkville was the 5-0 winner over Mendota when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Foxes came up short against the Trojans on Monday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, Yorkville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Mendota are ranked 36th).

Yorkville's goal came courtesy of Wyatt Panczuk, who's now up to five this season.

Yorkville now has a losing record of 3-4-1. As for Mendota, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Looking ahead, Yorkville will venture away from home to face off against Oswego at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mendota, they will head out to square off against Kewanee at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
