Recap: Jasper Bulldogs vs. Onalaska Wildcats
The Jasper Bulldogs's game on Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Onalaska and snuck past 70-68. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Several Wildcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Johnny Byrd, who scored 19 points. The contest was Byrd's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Dante Leleux was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Jasper now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Onalaska, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7.
Jasper's road trip will continue as they head out to face Evadale at 10:30 a.m. on December 9th. Evadale has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 260 points over their last four games. As for Onalaska, they will face off against Vidor at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday.
