Volleyball Recap: Spooner Takes a Loss

Spooner lost against Hayward two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Rails took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hurricanes. The Rails have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Spooner might've come up short, but they didn't make it easy on Hayward: every set was decided by three points or less. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 24-26, 25-22, 25-23.

Spooner's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Hayward, they moved to 15-14 with that win, which also ended their three-match losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Spooner will take on rival Ladysmith at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Hayward is set to challenge their familiar foe Cumberland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
