Basketball Recap: White County Comes Up Short

White County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 41-40 heartbreaker at the hands of the Livingston Academy Wildcats. The Warriors were not able to make up for their defeat to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in February of 2024.

White County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Nathaniel Griffin, who posted nine points along with eight boards and three steals. That's the most points Griffin has posted since back in December of 2024. Tucker Pinion was another key player, putting up 12 points.

White County's defeat dropped their record down to 7-14. As for Livingston Academy, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. White County has already played their next match (against Smith County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Livingston Academy will take on Cumberland County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
