Soccer Recap: Ellicott Comes Up Short

Ellicott was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 10-1 to the Woodland Park Panthers. Ellicott were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 6-0.

Their goal came courtesy of Teysia Tacoronte, which was the first she's scored this season.

Ellicott's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Woodland Park, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-5-2.

Looking ahead, Ellicott will take on Florence at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ellicott will be up against Florence's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.63 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Woodland Park, they will challenge Atlas Preparatory School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
