Iona Prep has gone a perfect 10-0 against Salesian recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Gaels will be playing at home against the Eagles at 4:15 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

On Tuesday, Iona Prep didn't have quite enough to beat St. Joseph-by-the-Sea and fell 4-3.

Iona Prep got a good showing from Brandon Stabile, who tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.

At the plate, Sean Concannon made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Meanwhile, Salesian fell victim to St. Peter's and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 13-0 to St. Peter's. Salesian has struggled against St. Peter's recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meeting.

Salesian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Avelino, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases.

Iona Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-1. As for Salesian, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Iona Prep took their win against Salesian in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 20-0 score. Will the Gaels repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
