Baseball Recap: Muir Victorious

Muir proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 victory over the Burbank Bulldogs. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Mustangs have posted since May 16, 2025.

Kahlil Rishwain was excellent, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. He has become a key player for Muir: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 1-7 otherwise. Lawton Gray also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Muir's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Burbank, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9-1.

Coming up, Muir will host Duarte at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday. As for Burbank, they will venture away from home to square off against Glendale at 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
